Confluence se centra en la cantante pop serbia y ex estrella infantil Doris Bizetić. En una mezcla entre el pop y una performance recitada, la biografía de Doris se combina con las historias de arquitecturas en Belgrado. Mientras Doris recuerda su infancia frente a las cámaras y habla sobre el trauma de la guerra, su biografía está relacionada con la historia de la Torre CK de Belgrado, en la que se reflejan las etapas de su vida y las transiciones de los sistemas políticos en Serbia.

Confluence centers around Serbian pop singer and former child star Doris Bizetić. In a mixture between pop and lecture performance Doris’ biography is conflated with histories of architectures in Belgrade. As Doris recounts memories of her childhood in front of cameras and talks about war trauma, her biography is linked to the history of Belgrade’s CK Tower, in which her life stages as well as the transitions of political systems in Serbia are mirrored.

Juck es el nombre de un grupo de chicas que se hicieron famosas en 2013 con un vídeo de baile que se propagó rápidamente por todo el mundo. Su actuación causó mucho revuelo ya que el grupo provoca, sirve de inspiración y rompe normas, abriendo un debate sobre lo que realmente es la feminidad.

Juck (literally Hump) is the dance group that made its breakthrough in a 2013 viral video, where they pushed the limits for how the female body is allowed to express itself and make a statement. Since then they have ‘humped’ all over the world. A film that swings between documentary, dance and fiction asks the question, «What is femininity?»

Nos encontramos en un jardín extravagante en Ouagadougou. La esposa del embajador francés soñaba con convertirse en una famosa cantante de ópera. En cambio, ahora usa el canto como oxígeno para sobrevivir a su vida aparentemente privilegiada rodeada de trabajadores. Esta película plantea preguntas sobre estructuras de poder, clase, interseccionalidad, poscolonialismo y feminismo de una manera poética, sutil y seductora.

We find ourselves in an extravagant garden in Ouagadougou. The French Ambassador’s wife dreamt about becoming a famous opera singer. Instead, she is now using the singing as a ventilator to survive her seemingly privileged life surrounded by workers. This lm raises questions about power structures, class, intersectionality, post colonialism and feminism in a poetic, subtle and seductive way.

La directora israelí Ines Moldavsky se dispone a conocer a los hombres que por ley tiene prohibido ver. Atraviesa la frontera para entrar en Cisjordania y experimenta ese espacio físico desconocido. Las conversaciones oscilan entre llamadas de teléfono virtuales y encuentros reales. Ecos de violencia, que busca romper fronteras.

Tinder. Woman seeks men. Man seeks women. Everything would be so simple if she weren’t in Israel and the guys nearby weren’t in the West Bank. Israeli filmmaker Ines Moldavsky sets out to meet up with the men that she is forbidden by law to see. She crosses the border into the West Bank to experience the personally unfamiliar physical space. The conversations revolve around virtual phone calls and physical encounters. Violence resonates in the search for a violation of boundaries.

Una corrida de toros en el sur de Francia. La espuma blanca fluye hacia la arena, borrando la vista de animales y humanos. Tourneur muestra a jóvenes en el cuadrilátero con un toro, sus gestos van de la subyugación arcaica a la danza moderna. Imagen y sonido, primer plano y fondo de plano, dentro y fuera de campo combinados de una manera altamente artificial y surrealista. Hasta el momento en que el toro de repente rompe la presentación.

A bullfight in the South of France. White foam is flowing into the arena, blurring the view of animals and humans. Tourneur shows young men in the ring with a bull – their gestures are between archaic subjugation and modern dance. Image and sound, foreground and background, on-screen and off-screen combined in a highly artificial and surreal way. Up to the moment when the bull suddenly breaks through the presentation.
