Rafael Montezuma dissects the primitive universe of Pillimpo, a self-taught sculptor with a style that falls between Kitsch and Art Brut. Surrounded by creatures that greet eerily, Pillimpo implores his God to retrieve the star that guided his imaginary path. An island, a cell, a garden where dreams fly. From the body to heaven.

This new conceptual and sensory miniature rethinks the concept of the social (self) portrait by playing with the distortions of a Big Brother impassively watching over us. A technological state of permanent control, of mechanization of a daily life ruled by a human-made inventiveness that has ended up taking control of our lives.
