Certamen Internacional de Cortometrajes y Competición de Cortometrajes Canarios
Bases de participación
CONDICIONES DE INSCRIPCIÓN
1º Se podrán presentar al certamen cortometrajes con copia de proyección digital (con códec h264) a través de nuestra web.
2º La duración máxima de las películas no excederá de 30 minutos. Las películas deben haber sido estrenadas con posterioridad al 1 de enero de 2018.
3º La copia de exhibición de las películas no habladas en castellano deberá estar subtitulada en castellano o inglés. Las copias en castellano deben ser enviadas con subtítulos en inglés.
4º Las películas inscritas para la competición internacional no pueden haber sido presentadas en España, en salas públicas, DVD, vídeo o televisión. Tampoco pueden haber sido difundidas a través de Internet con acceso libre desde España.
5º Las películas inscritas para la competición internacional no pueden haber participado previamente en ningún otro festival español, ni en competición ni fuera de ella. Tampoco haber sido presentadas en ningún tipo de evento en España, especial o no.
6º El festival se reserva el derecho de informar a la persona de contacto indicada en el formulario sólo en el caso de estar seleccionada. Cada persona (física o jurídica) inscribirá como máximo 3 cortometrajes.
7º Las películas seleccionadas se exhibirán en sesiones públicas en los lugares y fechas que se anunciarán por la web oficial del Festival. No se harán proyecciones en tv o a través de internet en ningún caso.
8º Los fallos del Comité de Selección y de los Jurados son inapelables.
9º Los productores de los cortometrajes seleccionados autorizan la utilización de un fragmento de las obras (máximo un minuto), para su difusión como materia informativa en cualquier medio de comunicación, incluido Internet.
10º Todos los participantes, por el hecho de serlo, aceptan íntegramente las presentes bases, así como la resolución por la organización de cualquier problema no recogido en éstas. La inscripción supondrá por tanto la aceptación de las bases. No se podrá retirar la obra una vez inscrita en ningún caso.
PREMIOS TENERIFE SHORTS
- A) Premio Tenerife Shorts al Mejor Cortometraje Internacional: 500 Euros y trofeo.
- B) Premio del Público Tenerife Shorts al Mejor Cortometraje Internacional: diploma.
- C) Premio Tenerife Shorts al mejor cortometraje canario: trofeo y tasa de proyección de 100 Euros para cada cortometraje seleccionado.
Organizador y objetivos
Tenerife Shorts, es un festival internacional competitivo organizado por la Asociación Tenerife Shorts, una asociación cultural sin ánimo de lucro que busca promover cortometrajes de todo el mundo, apoyando la producción de cortometrajes de las Islas Canarias.
La cuantía de los premios será para el realizador del film premiado. Dicha cuantía está sujeta a las retenciones que determine la ley vigente.

International Short Film Competition Regulations
SUBMISSION REGULATIONS
1º The films must be submitted via our website. Only films with digital copy (h264 codec).
2º The maximum running time of films is 30 minutes. We will only accept films made after the 1st of January 2018.
3º The screening copy of films in languages other than Spanish must be subtitled in Spanish or must have a complete timecoded Spanish dialogue list or English dialogue list must be provided in .srt format.
4º The films submitted for the international competition should be Spanish premieres (no previous commercial, DVD, video, TV or online screening in Spain). Also, no previous online free access within Spain is allowed.
5º The submitted films shouldn’t have participated in or out of competition within another Spanish festival or other type of event.
6º The contact person indicated in the entry form will be informed of the result of this open call only in case of selection of the film. Each contact person may submit a maximum of 3 films.
7º The selected films will be shown in public screenings. Venues and dates will be announced in the official website of the Festival. The festival will never use the films for TV or online screenings.
8º Appeals cannot be made against decisions taken by the Selection Committee and Jury.
9º The producers of the selected short films authorize the use of a fragment of the work (a maximum of one minute) for inclusion in informative materials of the festival for the media news, including Internet.
10º The participation of everyone involved necessarily requires complete acceptance of these conditions, and the resolution of any problem not included therein by the festival. Registration therefore involves the acceptance of the conditions. The film will not be withdrawn after the submission in any case.
TENERIFE SHORTS AWARDS
- A) TENERIFE SHORTS Award for The Best International Short Film:500 Euros and trophy
- B) TENERIFE SHORTS Audience Award for the Best International Short Film: Diploma
- C) TENERIFE SHORTS Canary Islands Best Short Film Award:Trophy and 100 Euros screening fee for each selected short film within the Canary Islands short films section.
The amount of the award will be sent to the director of the award-winning film. This amount is subject to taxes determined by laws in force at the time.

Tenerife Shorts – Tenerife International Short Film Festival is an international film festival with a competition organized by Tenerife Shorts association, a non-profit cultural association that seeks to promote short films from all over the world, encouraging the production of short films from Canary Islands.
