Short Matters!
Tres proyecciones dedicada íntegramente a los cortometrajes nominados por la Academia de Cine Europeo (EFA) en la que, para esta 25 edición, los 2,700 miembros de la Academia seleccionaron como ganador, en la ceremonia celebrada en Malta, el pasado diciembre, al corto Superman, Spiderman o Batman (11’) del realizador rumano Tudor Giurgiu. Las proyecciones, que se verán en pase único, tendrán lugar el sábado 7 de septiembre, a las 17:00 horas; y el domingo 8 de septiembre, en pases a las 17:00 y 21:30 horas.

Petesy trabaja en una gasolinera en el culo del mundo. Atiende a viajeros de todo tipo, pero hoy un joven llamado Gabriel se detiene en la gasolinera a comprar provisiones para un largo viaje por carretera.
Petesy works in a petrol station in the arsehole of nowhere. Petesy gets travellers of all sorts but today a young fella called Gabriel stops at the station to gather up supplies for a long road trip.

István Balogh, a not very affluent Hungarian farmer, lords over his wife, children and his “hired” slave. Cut off from the rest of the world on a distant farm, he tries to uphold a family ideal he formulated from rigid traditions.

El título debe tomarse literalmente según la cámara convierte en detalles un paisaje pobre y virgen, que sirve como superficie de proyección para explorar el aparato cinematográfico, y la (de)construcción del espacio cinematográfico, el tiempo y el movimiento. El ser humano, un cuerpo extraño en este lugar, busca una relación con el paisaje y la cámara.
The title should be taken literally as the camera turns to details of a meagre and untouched landscape, which serves as projection surface for exploring the cinematic apparatus, and (de)constructing cinematic space, time, and movement. The human, a foreign body in this place, seeks a relationship to the landscape and the camera.

Desde la admiración, siempre deseé ser como él. Sin embargo, siento que soy todo lo contrario. Así que decido acudir a Bruselas para tratar de recuperar el tiempo perdido.
His Excellency, the plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Belgian Crown sacrificed his entire life for his country. His dedication came with a price; he never really had time for me, his son. In admiration, I always longed to be like him. However, I feel like I am quite the opposite. I thus decide to come to Brussels to try to make up for lost time.
